Right wing shock jocks are trying to convince people that the US is moving toward socialism. This article illustrates how almost the exact opposite is true. “Brazilization” (extreme rich, extreme poor) is closer to the truth. Even more interesting is that this article shows how the US is not “Number 1″ as many of these people claim, but that other countries that the right wing hate jocks typically dismiss as “European” or “socialist” are actually ahead of the US in many things important to the ordinary American.
