I heard the one last year was a blast

This actually brings back terrible memories for me. I remember a certain band that I was hoping would do well, couldn’t have fallen more flat. I wanted so desperately to attend but I remember being grateful that I hadn’t since everyone I knew who did go, said between the rain and the failure of a few other planned events it was less than desirable. I had another friend who also knew a couple of girls who went and said, sparing one or two entertainments, it wasn’t worth the ride.
As I writer, I remember researching coverage for the event and it was difficult to find much of it to compare thoughts. Anyway, this was my perspective of the veggie pride parade of May 2008, at the time I was researching it.
Let’s hope for better weather and successes this year.
Based on the web site and some communications about basic details it seems a bit disorganized so far. To be fair, it seems like they are still in the initial stages of getting it going.
Continuing to be fair, the organizers can’t control the weather. Thanks for prefacing your opinion with the fact that you didn’t attend. Your comment sounds useful. I think I may go, but with “managed expectations”.
Any excuse to be in New York City and with a bunch of veg*ns.
( I wish they had the guts to call it the vegan pride parade ).
You and I actually discussed this last year. If you think back really hard, you may remember those you knew who attended and what they said. Some of my analysis came from that.
Regarding the “vegan” versus “veggie” pride parade… for that matter, why not call it the Raw food parade… after-all, that’s what the group involved pushes.
