Tax Meat?

I never thought I would read an editorial by professor Peter Singer in the New York Daily News

I don’t think there is a realistic chance for a much needed tax on gas, much less meat, but Dr. Singer makes a strong argument for a tax on meat and gives the reader a good education on the issues along the way.

  1. I saw that. I’m not sure it makes all that much sense to tax something at the same time as you’re subsidizing it, though.
